{"id":380,"date":"2008-09-21T16:37:40","date_gmt":"2008-09-21T20:37:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.local\/?p=380"},"modified":"2008-09-21T16:37:40","modified_gmt":"2008-09-21T20:37:40","slug":"bundling-internet-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.local\/bundling-internet-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Bundling Internet Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Flick Pro \/ Basecamp \/ Hosting \/ Skype credit.<\/p>\n<p>They are all very <strong>fragmented<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Payment &amp; bundling is still v<strong>ery standardised<\/strong> I think there is a <strong>huge gap for innovation<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Especially when the <strong>internal processe<\/strong><strong>s<\/strong>\u00a0at internet companies are much more <strong>flexible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Why doesn&#8217;t someone<strong> bundle services<\/strong> into packs resulting in 5%, 10% or 20% savings per month.<\/p>\n<p>Say:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A freelancers pack: Solo Basecamp + Amazon s3 + Hosting acccount<\/li>\n<li>Small business pack: Basecamp + Hosting + Yammer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You get the idea. \u00a0There is a lot of overlay of some services. \u00a0Why not <strong>reward those customers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Take it a step further.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Build a platform so I can make my own bundle. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Save some dollars. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Let me <strong>share it <\/strong>on my blog and with my friends \/ family \/ networks and others can sign up to it. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Imagine if Michael Arrington had his own personal plan on his blog. \u00a0I&#8217;m sure hundred&#8217;s would buy it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Flick Pro \/ Basecamp \/ Hosting \/ Skype credit.
