{"id":1409,"date":"2009-04-05T16:51:33","date_gmt":"2009-04-05T20:51:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.local\/?p=1409"},"modified":"2009-04-05T16:51:33","modified_gmt":"2009-04-05T20:51:33","slug":"five-star-customer-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.local\/five-star-customer-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Five Star Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shopping at a local supermarket on Sunday I received great service from a new checkout person. \u00a0It was at that moment I thought, why don&#8217;t they have a simple touch machine where after the transaction you can rate the service, 1 to 5 stars. \u00a0I would have loved to give her five stars.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine that, a small touch screen device, where you can rate the service in a second. \u00a0The system then records the rating and at the end of the day the staff member gets their average rating.<\/p>\n<p>Staff realise:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They are instantly accountable<\/li>\n<li>Provides a benchmark to lift the bar<\/li>\n<li>Real time rankings by the hour (look at peaks and troughs during the day)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the service provider:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instant feedback on staff<\/li>\n<li>Reward the best staff<\/li>\n<li>Compare satisfaction by time of day<\/li>\n<li>Get the real picture of what your customers think of your service<\/li>\n<li>Stimulate a cultural change in customer satisfaction, sending the right signals to staff and to customers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And for customers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Feel the respect for opinion<\/li>\n<li>Can reward outstanding service by giving five stars<\/li>\n<li>Feel valued<\/li>\n<li>Makes them consciously think about the level of customer service provided<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not sure on the cost but it would be worth a try!
