Free Marketing Advice, Pay what you want

January 29th, 2009

Given all the doom and gloom in the media at the present.

A rough start to the year for some.

I thought I would offer Free Internet Marketing Advice.

That is you email me with your problems, questions, advice on strategy.

Anything Internet Marketing related.

Who is this suited for? Any kind of business, maybe your a small business who hasn’t ventured online, a tourism business, owner operator, b2b, b2c….

You probably have made cuts of your marketing expenditure.

And so you should, if it has questionable returns.

BUT with internet marketing you can measure your returns. Down to the dollar.

If you know how.

So to help clear misreprentations about it and encourage spending in internet marketingย I am doing this.

The catch? Well the catch is I ask you to pay me what you think my information to help you out is worth to you. If its worth nothing pay nothing, if its worth $250 pay that. Up to you, no pressure, my aim is to help you.

I just want to repeat that, my aim is to help you!

Given my time is costly I am only doing this for a week from now till Friday February 6th 4pm NZT.

Update: I am extending this till the end of February to maximise the opportunity ๐Ÿ™‚

Update 2: This is now a permanent offering, read more here.

Send your queries to coaching@bwagy.com [email protected]

(Oh and if its not for you please forward on to your friends, they may need some help or know someone who does, there is a link at the bottom of this post to email to your friends).

Please note a few things:

1) Give me some background information about your company, clients (in the email). ย I can clear up to several thousand emails in a busy week so if you have all the information in the email helps me out (vs a web address for more info).

2) If I help you, could you post feedback in the comments below (good or bad, mostly good Im sure)

3) Forward to friends this post to help them out.

Why me? Five reasons

1) Why not, who else is motivated enough about the internet marketing industry and helping you to offer this?

2) I have a decade of experience in internet marketing, starting out in ’99 with Search Engine Optimisation

3) Read up on me here. ย

4) I am New Zealands #1 (only?) Internet Marketing Strategy Coach.

5) Also you have absolutely nothing to lose….

So I’ve been of tremendous benefit to you and answered your questions and you want to actually pay me for it? You can send me some funds via paypal to [email protected] or click the button below.

Great idea Ben, and I can certainly vouch for your expertise.

I’ve also seen this concept before (not saying that you ripped it off or anything), it was in a hospitality context though. A restaurant in Melbourne offers diners the opportunity to pay whatever they feel their dinner is worth. Apparently they do quite well, because the quality and experience is worth paying for. I’m seeing lots of parallels here Ben.

  2. Ben Young Says:

Thanks Paul for your kind comments, very much appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. John Dierckx Says:

Great idea Ben, in fact I have used this concept in the past and those than went for it all ended up being long term relationships and yes a few took advantage of it as well but that comes with the turf I guess. On other occasions I had to chase outstanding accounts payable.

All in all this has worked quite well for me, so I would say go for it.

  4. Ben Young Says:

Thanks John, the heads up is handy too, few freeloaders but I think overall evens out. Most important is some of the freeloaders help spread the word (which in turn) will generate revenue.

  5. John Dierckx Says:

    Absolutely!

In fact I might follow suit and organize an action like this myself for fraud prevention.

  6. Sundi D. Hayes Says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ben!

I sent an email to Ben with information about my business and the areas I was stuck. Not only did he respond but the response had serious detail to it…not general helps you find on the web but specific info about how to shift what I was already doing to optimize the results – at a minimum, three really good suggestions I started using that week! Even more that will carry me through the long haul.

To top it off I got a follow-up email from Ben the next week wanting to know how things were going and if I needed help with additional questions generated from the original email.

If you haven’t sent Ben an email but the thought crossed your mind put your thought into action and TRY IT!

    Create an amazing day!

  7. Ben Young Says:

@John Be keen to see how you go ๐Ÿ™‚ Feel free to email me if you want some tips from what I’ve learned.

@Sundi It was a pleasure, I wish you the best and look forward to hearing your successes.
