It’s redundant.

Who isn’t busy?

If we’re all busy, why state it?

Come on, let’s retire it, at least for now…

    Hi Bwagy,
    “I’m busy” can be used as an euphemism; it carries the connotations of, among others, “I’m not interested” or “I don’t want to talk to you”.
    To my mind its usefulness remains.
