Eureka! Wurld
December 13th, 2009I have found it! Wurld water that is. A charity set up to sell bottled water.
For every bottle of water sold the profits go to helping the 1 in 6 worldwide who don’t have access to clean water.
Simple concept, nice branding, great cause to get behind (and please do).
Oh and did I say the bottles are made from corn starch thus biodegradable?
It’s not the complete answer but like the Prius it’s the beginning….

Thanks for the write up Ben.
You hit the nail hard with your comments on Radio Wammo and here that wurld water isn’t the complete answer.
Ideally consumers will move away from relying on buying bottled water and use a refillable vessel and get their water from sources like public water fountains, taps and office water coolers. Until then, we reckon that if you’re going to buy bottled water, we’re the most ethical choice available.
Our battle is getting our bottled water in to places so that consumers have that choice available. Thanks for being a part of that process.
Cheers
Jared

It’s the start of something much bigger – a privilege to see it in its early days. Best of luck for 2010!
