{"id":1501,"date":"2009-05-13T20:25:11","date_gmt":"2009-05-14T00:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.local\/?p=1501"},"modified":"2009-05-13T20:25:11","modified_gmt":"2009-05-14T00:25:11","slug":"building-a-marketing-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.local\/building-a-marketing-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"Building a Marketing Strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Building a Marketing Strategy is not straight forward<\/strong>, well not at least till you have done it over and over again.<\/p>\n<p>Of recent I have had a lot of focus on very early stage strategy, taking a brand from nothing, starting from scratch.<\/p>\n<p>The benefit of getting in at this stage is it&#8217;s very exciting, <strong>the possibilities seem to be endless<\/strong>, also very open to risk.<\/p>\n<p>Often my job is like that of a rider, <strong>to rein the horse i<\/strong>n, refocus on business objectives and how can we achieve that.<\/p>\n<p>The strategy is always <strong>highly constrained<\/strong>; on time, funds &amp; absolute need for leverage.<\/p>\n<p>Oh and usually the only funds available are for my time (sometimes not even that!)<\/p>\n<p>Where I am going with this is that <strong>building a marketing strategy is all about taking the steps from beginning to end and to keep taking them<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simplicity works over complexity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Building a Marketing Strategy is not straight forward, well not at least till you have done it over and over again.
