You can do what YOU want
October 16th, 2008Here’s just a list of all the cool things you can do:
- Run your own tv show | Wine Library
- Have your own Podcast
- Be an author through lulu.com or Createspace
- Be a rockstar using iTunes + Myspace + Last.fm
- Build your own entertainment network by syndicating youtube videos
- Build your own Facebook with Ning
- Design your own products (virtually anything) through Ponoko
- Brand your own products, drinks, beds, jeans by sourcing products through AliBaba
- Design your own t-shirts with Threadless
- Become an expert in your area through blogging
- Talk to anyone, skip secretaries, connect with them via Twitter / Facebook / Linkedin
It’s awesome! The world literally is your oyster if you take the step and turn up.
Creativity is only going to soar over the next 5 – 10 years, you can dabble in 1, or 5 of these, try your hand at writing, building your own product, a podcast.
Very very exciting, what else would you add to this list? It’s only a small fraction of the possibilities.

I agree with everything there _except_ “Creativity is only going to soar over the next 5 – 10 years” … I don’t think any of us are going to be more creative than we already were – we’ll just have more tools to express it with.
Just as the most talented/hardworking people rise to the top in the entertainment industry now, they will rise to the top of these various niches now – it’s just that there are more opportunities.
That’s why Generation C doesn’t stand for Creativity … it’s Control, baby! ๐

Hey I really really really like this post. I’m all about LOVING what you do.
I saw you on Twitter as a young entrepreneur. I wanted to invite you to a private young entrepreneurs network where you can meet young entrepreneurs, promote yourself/your business and share experiences.
I think it’d be great for you to get involved in the community. You can definitely post your blog there too!
Hope to connect with you soon. Shoot me an email.

Cheeky comment their Julian.
Thanks Matt, Simon & Simon, and Matt W for your comments.
@SimonYoung Interesting, wouldn’t you think the expression of creativity will stimulate more creativity in others? As we are all creative in some aspects, but with a little nudge we can begin to express it in all areas.
Unfortunately I know two people that play poker in their underwear… very disturbing haha

You’ve got a point that the expression of creativity tends to stimulate more creativity in others … but that creativity was already there, untapped.
